The Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack is more than a durable, ergonomic shoulder sling pack; it is a state-of-the-art portable gear organizer that provides secure containment for and rapid accessibility of daily equipment. The versatile main compartment has a huge 156 cu. in. of space with a water-resistant tent cover that can be deployed by pulling a drawstring. An array of integral fixed-position external pouches reatin and index individual pieces of gear while two sets of nylon webbing hard-points accommodate Maxpeditions distinctive "snap and anchor" modular expansion accessories such as the CP-L walkie-talkie sheath. In the spirit of improvement, two new features have been added recently: a tactile shoulder-pad and high-breathabilty back padding, both providing greater comfort during extended periods of use.

Originally designed for Search and Rescue work, the S-type allows for the additional attachment of #0102 CP-L Radio Holster, #1708 Universal Flashlight Sheath, or any other MAXPEDITION Waistpack in place of the cellphone pocket on the standard Fatboy. In addition, the Fatboy S-Type rides on the left side of the body filling the need for a 'lefty' Fatboy and a grab-and-go gear bag that does not hinder the quick drawing of a sidearm on the right hip.

MAXPEDITION GRIMLOC CARABINER - The Fastex® Grimloc™ Carabiner can be used on any 1" wide piece of webbing and replaces the metal carabiner for attachment of lanyards, weapons, and accessories. It is fabricated from high strength lightweight plastic, incorporates GhillieTex™ IR-signature reduction technology, and resists solar heating. Its latch is designed with a detent to maintain an open position if needed and, while strong enough to carry equipment, it will break away with a soldier’s weight, eliminating snagging hazards which can cause serious injuries.

MAXPEDITION HARD-USE GEAR H-1 HYBRID WAISTPACK WITH INTEGRATED SHEATH - The flagship model of the H-series hybrid waistpacks, the H1 features a secure rectangular pouch with retention flaps and is ideal for portable electronics such as digital cameras, I-Pods, mini-disc players, etc. This "soft box" is mated to a size-adjustable sheath for flashlight, cellphone, or pocketknife increasing overall usefulness.
