MOD-79-8 Masters of Defense MPAK - Military Personnel Automatic Knife, Fighter Blade - Partially Serrated Edge
The MPAK is a purpose-designed automatic knife tailored to meet the demanding needs of law enforcement and military personnel. Its firing button, which also functions as a high-strength plunge-lock locking mechanism, can be securely locked with the blade in either the open or closed positions thanks to an extremely positive sliding secondary safety lock. This allows the button to be positioned slightly higher off the handle than most competing automatic knives, making it easy to operate with either hand or when wearing gloves.
The MPAK’s Milspec-anodized aircraft aluminum handles are drilled and tapped to allow the spring steel pocket clip to be attached in four different positions. This provides tip-up or tip-down carry of the knife on either the left or right side and enables the user to custom-tune his carry of the knife to suit his personal tactics. Available in either a Japanese tanto or spear point fighter style profile, the blade of the MPAK is precision ground from high-carbon 154CM stainless steel and coated with Black Diamond-Like Coat (DLC) to give it superior wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-reflective qualities.
