Mel Pardue is one of those rare individuals who gets paid for doing what he enjoys most - fashioning various materials and metals into custom cutting tools. He's been doing just that for over 20 years now, and thankfully for all of us, he has no plans of retiring anytime soon.

Mel's association with benchmade brings his custom knife making experiences and a personal knife design style that has a class and simplicity all its own. Some of his current Benchmade collaborations offer great utility to the everyday knife user while at the same time presenting an upscale distinction. Less is definitely more when it comes to Mel's designs.
