Maxpedition 9833 Active Shooter Bag - Magazine Front

Maxpedition 9833 Active Shooter Bag - Magazine Front

Maxpedition has released 2 new products aimed at law-enforcement and casual shooters – the Active Shooters Bag series.  Designed as a “bare essentials” bag, it’s available in two style: Magazine Front (9833 models) and PALS Webbing Front (9844 Models)

Designed in collaboration with Extreme Gear Labs, Maxpedition Active Shooter Bags are perfect for any situation where you may need to carry extra ammo and essential gear and have them accessible at a moments notice. This is a must-have in your vehicle just in case. Our active shooter bags are lined internally with loop field to accommodate any of our concealed carry, ammo, or admin accessories. There is also plenty of room for first aid and tactical supplies. Includes fully adjustable quick-release shoulder and waist straps to accomodate any body shape or size.

Maxpedition 9834 Active Shooter Bag - PALS Webbing Front

There are a lot of rifle bug-out bags on the market in a variety of configurations; the nice thing about these is that it pares down what you can carry to what you need and nothing else.  A pair of spare magazines for your rifle and pistol will cover just about all situations until help arrives. The velcro lined interior means you can mount a 3501 Universal Holster inside the bag and suddenly your bail out is greatly simplified: you grab your rifle, Active Shooter Bag, and get out of dodge.

Both models feature PALS webbing points on the sides for additional small pouches (perfect for lights, multitools, gps units, cell phone, water bottle holders etc).  If you just need a small, general purpose bag for your field tools, the PALS Webbing Model allows for unlimited flexibility – you can tailor the exterior with pouches containing your most used equipment. Purchase a few various PALS Webbing Adaptor (MAX-9482) patches and you can switch out your interior loadout as conditions change.

SureFire G2L-FYL Fire Rescue LED Flashlight

SureFire G2L-FYL Fire Rescue LED Flashlight

SureFire’s G2 flashlight has been the perennial favorite here at the office – tough, bright, relatively inexpensive, and with 10 years of battery shelf life, reliable.  When SureFire upgraded the G2 by adding a LED bulb (creating the G2L) we cheered – an even brighter flashlight, with even better runtime, for not much more money.  Now they’ve raised the bar again with the G2L-FYL Fire Rescue, designed for… well… Fire & Rescue work.

The G2L-FYL Fire Rescue is a compact high-output flashlight designed for firefighters, paramedics, and other first-responders. It features a body made of tough, corrosion-proof Nitrolon® polymer and a hard-anodized aluminum bezel and tailcap click switch. The G2L-FYL uses a virtually indestructible power-regulated LED and precision micro-textured reflector to produce a smooth, brilliant 80-lumen beam with four times the light output of a typical two-D-cell flashlight. The pushbutton tailcap click switch provides secure, ergonomic activation control: press for momentary-on, press further to click constant-on. It includes a diffuser kit providing three beam options—narrow for search and rescue, wider for area illumination and close work. It is MIL-STD-810 rated, which includes testing safe in most potentially explosive atmospheres. Its fluorescent yellow color and included reflective body stickers make the G2L-FYL Fire Rescue easy to find in dark or smoky conditions.

So what separates this from the standard G2L?  Two tone high visibility yellow & black body.  Beam diffusers to spread out the cone-of-light.  An extra long, high visibility lanyard.  And high visibility tape that can be added to the body of the light itself, making it easy to spot if dropped.  Only $85.

Microtech LUDT Large Underwater Demolition Team

Microtech has long been one of the innovators in the automatic knife industry, but the LUDT series has long been a favorite of those who need an automatic knife that works.

The L.U.D.T. is the Large version of the Underwater Demolition Team knife. Over the years the L.U.D.T. has been shaped and changed to fit in our ever-changing market. The L.U.D.T. has a S30V blade with a reinforced tip for maximum penetration effectiveness without compromising the tip. Its handle is a 6061T6 aircraft grade aluminum with ball grooves running down the center for better gripping. This knife has been proven time and again, and will remain a crucial entity to the Microtech line.

Ok, so what’s the big deal?  Price + Features. S30V blade. Classic design. High traction grip. $140 – SERIOUSLY!
